THE QUEEN’S CAPTAIN

Writing short fiction based on historical events is a style I have enjoyed, and I’ve used this theme as the basis for short stories, flash fiction, and monographs. Last year my brother, Steve, suggested that I write a novel based on the characters of a series of these short pieces.

The Queen’s Captain is the first in a series of novels chronicling the lives and adventures of the Ransom family in the new world. Set during Queen Anne’s War in 1710, the story introduces Captain Miles Stuart Ransom of the Royal Navy, as he recovers from battle wounds and seeks his fortune in Colonial America.

The publication date is set for May 3, 2017, at which time The Queen’s Captain will be available for purchase on Amazon in both paperback and e-book. I’ll make Signed first editions available on a pre-publication basis, so if you would like a signed first edition, please send a check for $26 to:
