QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“You are never too old to learn something stupid.”
I’m pleased to report that my move from Magnolia Cottage is progressing on schedule. After sorting through over 1,000 volumes of my books, I’ve sold some of the better boxed sets to a collector, and I’ll donate the balance to a local not-for-profit.
I continue to pack up my office for the move to our house, and we’re steadily rearranging there to make ready to receive the office loot. In order to create some closet space for my office, Clista and I were forced to cull through our clothes one more time, and she took a van load to a mission that has a thrift store. I’ve packed up the balance of my hunting gear, and will take it to Clista’s grandson in July. I’ve gone through 40 years of business files, and tossed most of it, so I’ll only be taking two filing cabinets with me.
The movers will be here on the morning of June 18 to move everything that I’m keeping to my home office, and on June 20, a friend of mine who does estate sales, will come in and mark what’s left for a two day sale that begins on June 22. As soon as the sale is completed, the mission will arrive to pick up what didn’t sell, and the cleaners will come June 27 to do a deep clean, before I list the building for sale on July 1.
Now, isn’t that a grand plan? I suspect it will fall afoul of that old adage,
“Man makes plans, while God laughs.”

Good luck on the move! That is the reason we have been in the same house for 47 years:)
