INGREDIENTS
4 Carroll Shelby’s Chili Mix
4 pounds of ground beef
2 15.5 oz. cans of diced tomatoes and chilies
2 10 oz. cans of Ro-tel Mexican Lime and Cilantro diced tomatoes
2 large onions
10 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of fresh cilantro
2 packets of Goya Vegetable seasoning
2 packets of Goya Sazón seasoning
4 14.5 cans of water
Tabasco Sauce
Cooking oil
Garlic salt
Chili powder
Seasoning salt
PREPARATION
Place several ounces of oil in a large iron skillet.
Brown ground beef using ample amounts of garlic salt and seasoning salt.
Drain ground meat and reserve the oil.
Sauté the onions, garlic, cilantro, and the Goya Vegetable seasoning in the reserved oil until transparent.
Combine the ground beef and the sautéed vegetables in a large pot.
Add the seasoning packet from the Carroll Shelby’s Chili Kit (do not use the other stuff in the package).
Add the tomatoes and Ro-tel.
Add the water.
Add the Goya Sazón seasoning.
Bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for one hour.
Add salt, chili powder, and Tabasco to taste.
